Molten Steel handles bulk scrap metal collection differently from most dealers. Rather than pricing in a labour crew by default, we provide the receiving equipment: scrap bins placed on site, 40-footer trailers for long stock, low-bed trailers for oversized cargo, and a lorry crane or excavator with magnet or grappler for very large clearances. Your team or contractor loads; we collect, weigh, and pay. For larger clearances, our own team can do the loading too.

Because we are not pricing a removal crew into every job, more of the metal value goes back to you. This is built for substantial industrial loads from construction sites, factories, warehouses, shipyards, and engineering and process plants. For smaller or household quantities, drop-off at our 170 Gul Circle yard is quickest.

Scrap Bins On Site

If your site produces scrap metal continuously (fabrication off-cuts, production waste, machining swarf, project strip-out) a scrap bin on site is the simplest way to handle it. We place the bin, you fill it during normal work, and we swap it when it is full or on a schedule you choose.

• Sorted bins pay more. A separate bin for stainless, copper, or aluminium keeps the higher-value metal from being priced at the ferrous rate.
• No double handling. Scrap goes straight from the work area into the bin, and the bin goes straight onto the truck.
• Cleaner, safer site. Scrap stays contained instead of piling up around the work area.
• Weight-based settlement. Each bin is weighed and graded at our yard, and you are paid on what was actually in it.

40-Footer and Low-Bed Trailers

Long and oversized scrap is where most dealers struggle, and where we are strongest. A 40-footer trailer takes full-length beams, pipe, and sections without cutting; a low-bed trailer takes heavy, bulky items like machinery, tanks, and plant equipment that won’t fit on a normal truck. For large site clearances we can also deploy a lorry crane or an excavator with a magnet or grappler attachment.

This makes us a good fit for structural steel, industrial machinery, surplus stock, and plant shutdown scrap.

How Bulk Collection Works

1. Send photos and a quantity estimate on WhatsApp or email, with your site address and access details (gate height, loading area, any crane on site).
2. We recommend the equipment: bins, trailer, low-bed, lorry crane, or excavator, and give you an indicative price per grade.
3. We schedule the drop-off or collection around your site’s working hours and access rules.
4. You load, or we lift with the lorry crane or excavator where agreed.
5. Weighing and grading at our yard. Each load is weighed and sorted by grade at 170 Gul Circle.
6. Payment on the confirmed weight and grade, with documentation for your records.

Bins and Trailers vs On-Site Removal Crews

Some dealers send a crew to dismantle and remove scrap for you. That is convenient, but the labour cost is built into a lower per-kg price. Our model suits sites that already have workers or a contractor who can load: you keep control of your own site schedule, and you get paid more for the metal. If you need dismantling done, your demolition or M&E contractor can handle it, and we receive the scrap from them.
