Stainless Steel Pipe Supplier Singapore

Stainless Steel Pipe Supplier Singapore

Recovered 304L and 316L pipe — lengths up to 6m, cut-to-size available.

Recovered Stainless Steel Pipe & Tubing

Molten Steel supplies recovered stainless steel pipe and tubing to fabricators, marine repair yards and contractors across Singapore and the region. Most of our stock arrives from decommissioned process plant, shipyard tear-outs and industrial retrofits — material that was installed to mill spec, used, and removed intact. It’s sold in lengths or cut-to-size for buyers who don’t need virgin certified tubing. For non-critical repair work, architectural use and general fabrication, recovered pipe is a legitimate cost-saver that runs at a meaningful discount to mill-new stock.

What We Supply

Our pipe inventory rotates weekly. Typical availability:

Most lengths are 3–6 metres; shorter drops (0.5–2 m) are sold by weight in mixed lots. All recovered pipe is externally inspected, wall-thickness checked where relevant, and XRF-verified for grade. Flanged and fittings-attached pipe is sold as-is or cut free of flanges depending on buyer preference — cutting free adds a handling charge but typically yields a better per-tonne price in clean form.

Where a buyer needs a specific schedule and OD for a planned fabrication run, we’ll pre-sort from the current yard stock and hold the bundle under a reservation until collection. Reservations are held for 7 days without deposit.

Minimum Order & Delivery

  • MOQ: 2 tonnes for graded pipe; 500 kg for specific OD/schedule runs if stock matches
  • Cut-to-size: we can cold-cut to customer lengths (±5 mm) for an additional charge
  • Packaging: steel-banded bundles on skids, typically 1–2 tonnes per bundle
  • Delivery: flat-bed or curtain-sider across Singapore; offload at site or yard drop-off
  • Lead time: 3–5 days ex-stock; 10–14 days for specific OD/grade combinations

Pricing

Recovered stainless pipe is priced at a significant discount to new mill-certified tubing — typically 40–60% of new-stock prices depending on grade, condition and length yield. We benchmark against the LME nickel settlement plus a pipe-form premium; see our LME scrap pricing guide for the mechanics, and current Singapore scrap prices for reference.

Because this is recovered material, fabricators should treat it as usable structural stock rather than certified new pipe. It’s well-suited to repairs, retrofits, non-critical process runs and jigs — not code-stamped pressure service.

Quality & Documentation

Each pipe lot is XRF-verified for grade. We issue a COA on request showing average chemistry per bundle. We do not supply mill test certificates — if the project requires MTC-traceable material, a new-pipe supplier is the correct route. Standard documentation:

  • XRF chemistry report per bundle
  • Weighbridge ticket and itemised length breakdown
  • Photographs of bundles and loading
  • For export: packing list, commercial invoice, non-radioactive declaration

Who Buys From Us

Our typical pipe buyers are split between marine repair (where 316L corrosion performance matters and the work is schedule-driven), and general fabrication (where a cost advantage over new mill pipe is the deciding factor).

  • Marine repair yards needing 316L pipe drops for onboard retrofits
  • Fabricators building tanks, skids and non-critical process equipment
  • Contractors running ducting, handrail and architectural stainless work
  • Traders consolidating mixed stainless pipe for onward export

A lot of what we sell was originally bought as virgin stainless from the same fabricators — we collect it back through our stainless steel scrap collection service when plants decommission or upgrade. Our 304 vs 316 grade guide is useful background reading for buyers deciding which grade their application actually needs.
