How much do you pay for scrap metal in Singapore?
Our rates are benchmarked daily against the London Metal Exchange (LME) and updated weekly. As of April 2026: bright copper from $9/kg, brass from $6.50/kg, aluminium extrusion from $2/kg, 304 stainless from $1.80/kg, HMS 1 from $0.35/kg. See our full pricing page for all grades.
Do you charge for pickup?
No — pickup is free across Singapore for qualifying commercial loads. Small loads (under ~50 kg) are better as drop-off at our 170 Gul Circle yard.
How quickly can you collect scrap?
Same-day response in west Singapore (Jurong, Tuas, Sungei Kadut, Woodlands, Joo Koon). 24-48 hours for the rest of the island. Urgent pickups can be arranged — just call.
When do I get paid?
Same day. We weigh, grade, and pay on the spot — bank transfer, cheque, or cash for smaller amounts. No invoicing delays.
Are you a licensed scrap metal dealer?
Yes. Molten Steel has been a licensed, NEA-compliant scrap metal dealer in Singapore since 2006. Every transaction is documented and compliant.
Do you buy mixed or dirty scrap?
Yes. We sort and grade on arrival. Mixed loads earn the mixed-grade rate; separating cleanly before pickup adds 20-40% to your payout.
What ferrous and non-ferrous metals do you buy?
All grades — copper, aluminium, brass, stainless steel (304, 316, 309, 310), cast iron, HMS 1 & 2, lead (including car batteries), zinc, and specialty alloys. Also industrial machinery and vehicles.
Do you buy scrap cars?
Yes. Free tow from anywhere in Singapore, same-day cash payment, NEA-compliant disposal. See our scrap car page.
Do you buy catalytic converters?
Yes, at rates based on the PGM (platinum, palladium, rhodium) content of the cat. Typical payouts: S$50-500+ depending on model. See our catalytic converter page.
Do you handle demolition salvage?

Do you provide scrap bins for businesses?
Yes, for commercial clients generating regular scrap. Segregated ferrous/non-ferrous bins, scheduled exchange, consolidated monthly payment runs. See industrial services.
Can I drop off scrap at your yard?
Yes. 170 Gul Circle, anytime during business hours: Mon-Sat 8:30am-6:30pm, Sun 8:30am-3:30pm. Pull up, weigh, get quoted, get paid. No appointment needed.
Do you issue documentation for compliance?
Yes. Weigh slips, grade receipts, disposal certificates on request — required for ISO 14001, BCA demolition closeout, NEA compliance records.
Do you buy e-waste?

What’s the difference between a dealer and a recycler?
