Registrations & Approvals

• NEA-approved scrap metal dealer — covering handling, storage, and disposal of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal, including lead-acid batteries and hazardous metal waste. NEA documentation is available to clients on request.
• ACRA-registered Singapore entity — Molten Steel Pte Ltd, UEN 200604088N, continuously registered since 2006. Verifiable on bizfile.gov.sg.
• MOM / WSH compliance — workplace safety and health framework applied to yard operations and collection work, including required PPE, training, and incident reporting.

Operating Compliance

• Scrap metal dealer records — every transaction documented with weigh slip, grade receipt, and counterparty ID verification per NEA requirements.
• Hazardous waste handling — lead-acid batteries and specific electronic waste categories stored, transported, and processed in line with NEA toxic industrial waste (TIW) standards.
• Weighing equipment certification — weighbridge and platform scales calibrated and certified annually per Singapore legal metrology requirements.
• Environmental compliance — yard drainage, bunding, and spill response managed in line with NEA guidelines for scrap handling facilities.

In Singapore, unlicensed scrap dealers still operate — usually from temporary yards, cash-only, no documentation. They can offer surface-level higher prices but expose the seller to underweighing, theft liability, and tax / compliance issues.
